In the Mt. Holyoke range there's a notch through which we pass to go from the Amherst area to areas south. Just over The Notch and around the corner is Ed and Mona Parkers' home. Comfortably eclectic with new and antique furnishings, it is set 700' up the drive, on a hillside, in the quaint New England town of Granby, Massachusetts.

Mona serves breakfast in the sunlit great room (seen on the home page), where you will have a seasonal view of Mount Tom and on chilly days the pleasure of a cheerful fireplace. The flower and pergola-topped deck is a wonderful place to take your book in the warm weather and you might like to take your breakfast there as well!

A short walk down the hill from your room brings you to Aldrich Lake, fed by beautiful Batchelor Brook. Bring your fishing pole and canoe because during the season, the fish are jumpin'! Three minutes away plan to hike, walk or mountain bike in the Universal Accessed Mt. Holyoke Range State Park, adjacent to our property. For an unforgettable experience, walk up the mountain and lunch with your llama companions from Pinetum Farm. Ride your bike on the scenic and shady Norwottuck Rail Trail Bike Path, accessible ten minutes away in Hadley.

Picturesque South Hadley common is a six minute drive. Here you'll reach the shops, spas, hair salons, restaurants, movies, farmers' market and bandstand concerts. Across the common is Mt. Holyoke College.

The University of Massachusetts at Amherst, as well as Hampshire, Amherst and Smith Colleges are six to twenty-five minutes away.

Bradley International Airport in Hartford is 45 minutes south. Boston's Logan Airport is 90 minutes east.
